The charities this year are ZÖE'S PLACE
and the MYELODYSPLASTIC SYNDROMES FOUNDATION, also known as the MDS Foundation UK Support Group.
- Zöe's Place in Yew Tree Lane, Liverpool is a "Home from Home" Hospice for babies with life limiting or terminal illnesses.
- The MDS Foundation UK Support Group was supported after Ian Denton sadly passed away. Geoff and the family have had a strong connection with several fund raising events and Geoff is rightly keen to include it this year.
Following a very wet Captains Charity day at Wirral Ladies the charity received £262 from members donating prize money plus other money and cheques received on the day. Geoff Denton has so far had personal sponsorship of £1624 with more to come.
We are very pleased to report that we already have a number of donations for this years causes.
A signed Everton away shirt. A bid of £30 has been made.
A titleist golf bag donated by Kevin, a guest of Paul Cromby.This bag retails for £150 in American Golf. A bid of £75 has been made.
"Designer" golf shirt donted by George Davies. So far we have a bid of £25.
Woodworm designer sunglasses and a Nike cap. A bid of £15 has been made.
A presentation box containing two 50ml bottles of "Bowmore Islay" single malt whiskey, complete with hip flask and a couple of golf balls and tees, donated by Chris Hughes. A bid of £15 has been made.
A bottle of Taylor's port donated by Andy Campbell. A bid of £20 has been made.
A bottle of champagne. No bids so far.
A voucher to play Pryors Hayes for a four ball, valid until 11/06/2012. No bids so far.
A voucher to play Silverdale Golf Club for a two ball, valid until October 2012. No bids so far.
